American Horror Story: Murder House Profile

Murder house is the term given to Ben and Vivien's new abode by the Eternal Darkness Tour for which it is a stop, with a story about the first owners and how they died. Vivien takes the tour and has to leave it due to spotting(she is pregnant). But she take the tour again with Marcy to hear the whole story given on the tour - which doesn't even cover half of the ghosts we see but gives us a good background on the original owners.

The murder house is a real location at 1120 Westchester Place in Los Angeles known as the Rosenheim Mansion. The house was built in 1908 by architect Alfred Rosenheim who was one of Los Angeles's most influential architects during the early 1900s. He built it as his own residence. The house is 3 story over 10,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and sits on almost an acre.

The house scenes in the pilot episode of "American Horror Story"  as well as some of the current exterior scenes were filmed on location at the Rosenheim Mansion,Some of the house's interiors were replicated on set.
